Something a bit different for April 2020: Two events to choose from. Feel free to do either or both. We’ll coordinate closer to the event. Make sure you’re on the email list if you want to be part of that discussion. Note afternoon start time for Saturday event and morning start time for Sunday event.
Saturday is Anzac Day, and so the annual 5K/10K is on at Dalefield Hall, near Carterton. This is a low-key, low-cost event ($5 for the 5K and $10 for the 10K, payable by cheque or electronic banking) and is a benefit for LifeFlight. All relevant details are on the entry form. (Link is to the 2018 entry form, but the entry form doesn’t change from year to year.)
Sunday is the Skyline Challenge, near Martinborough. Check the website for details. Many of the competitors will be riding mountain bikes, but runners are most welcome, too. Distances are 8K, 16K, and 32K.
Course info. Note that the entry fee goes up on 1 April. This is in part a benefit for Wharekaka.
