February event: From the Woolshed

This is a combination event: run/walk/eat. Rachel Marsh, a SWRunners regular, owns a woolshed on Western Lake Road. She and her husband run it as a holiday home for visitors to the area, especially for those doing the Remutaka Cycle Trail. Rachel and Myles have graciously kept the woolshed empty for Sunday 17 February, so we can use it as a base for our monthly event.

The run/walk is as far as you like, up to 9 kms of, as Rachel describes it, “bush walking/running”. So, bring your sturdy shoes. Bring your partners/family members, too: they can walk or just hang out at the woolshed, enjoying the scenery.

And, we’ll have a bit of food afterward. (Bring a plate as well: Rachel will be firing up the BBQ.)
